Mission Statement
The mission of the Brecknock Hall Foundation is to preserve, maintain, and utilize the building known as "Brecknock Hall" located at Greenport, Suffolk County, New York for uses that will benefit the surrounding communities.
To accomplish this mission, the Foundation:
Engages experts in the fields of architectural history, historic preservation, building maintenance, and construction in
order to help properly renovate, restore, and preserve Brecknock Hall for future generations.
Introduces local residents and visitors to the history of Brecknock Hall, one of the largest mid-nineteenth century
stone mansions ever built on Long Island, the family that built it, and their contributions to our community.
Invites the use of Brecknock Hall for a myriad of activities, such as, lectures, educational programs, exhibitions,
concerts, celebrations, weddings, meetings, and other public and private events.
Encourages public and private ventures that will support the maintenance and preservation of Brecknock Hall,
including facility rentals, guest services, and long-term residential amenities.
